Samsung Speed's and Noise

I have flashed about 10 Samsung drives and the last 2 that I flashed did not like the 12X speed. I tried to lead a game and the drives would start to spin and all of the sudden it would stop and the disc would make a noise like when the disc its still moving but the drive is not. It was like a loud grind sound. I played around with the 8x this seems to have taken care of the noise problem, but now its not reading all my backup games. Any Clues on why the drive is not able to handle 12x?

you may have got some errors in the firmware .so go back to xbin and get a new copy and use it.
i dont think its the firmware.
i would look into the backups.

yeah I tried the game in my Xbox and it plays fine, but them again I have the old school iXtreme 1.1. I will try to download a new firmware and try it next time. As far as the game I made another rip last night I will burn it and let my friend try it on his Samsung drive. Usually bad discs give you the Unplayable disc error, but some games on this firmware at 12x cause this bad noise. I would make me a little concern if someone flashed my xbox and I try to play a game and it make a grinding noise. I will let you guys know what happens tonight.

the only time mine has made the sound you have talking about was because the burns were bad.

i hate to say it but it could be a laser pot tweak is needed.
there 360 right out of the box that need the laser fix done to play backup right.
