samsung ms25 flashed wont play original xbox360 games, help

I recently finally was able to flash my sammy ms25 drive with iprep 8.8 and iextreme 1.6 thx, i got the ofw.bin backed up had to do it floppy way onboard sata, got my drive key saved etc... then i booted back in bios let the floppy come back up it picked up my drive and i fsam 1234567 12345 with my serial, chose w and samcfw.bin and it wrote to all four banks and after said ok, i powered down unplugged the crocks sata etc... hooked up my xbox and it wont play any original xbox 360 games, any ideas what happened should i re-name my ofw to cfw and reflash it back to the original or what im at a loss im confused as to what went wrong, any tips or help would be apreciated, thanks! Ohh btw when i tried to flash it kept saying not enough space on disk so i assumed it was no room on the floppy so i backed up my samofw.bin to my desktop in 3 places and removed it from the floppy after it made the samcfw.bin for my drive so i wouldnt get the disk low error, the only thing is will do it play dvd's for the time being, thanks again in advance!

sounds like you have a bad key in the flash thats on your drive!

Providin that your samofw.bin does have a good key you will be able to copy your samofw.bin and rename it to samcfw.bin.

then create a bootable usb or floppy with iprep, Then open it up and inside that you will find a folder called backups open that create a folder called 1234567 open that and create another called 12345

should look like this

backups\1234567\12345

paste your samofw.bin and change it to samcfw.bin

boot into your floppy/usb then at c:\ type fsam 1234567 12345
select w
give the file name as samcfw.bin

this will only work if you have a good key in your original FW

Thanks I'll try that crossing my fingers, i dsam the ofw twice and it gave me the same key said it was all ok i opened it up with fw toolbox after backing it up and it showed valid, ill give it a go i hope it works, I'll post back and let ya know thank you!

Killer! It worked, well when you mentioned bad key i opened up fw toolbox and looked at the samcfw.bin on the floppy in 1234567/12345 that i had flashed with and the key was a bunch of 777777777777's so i dont know what happened so i apparently did flash it with a bad key i didnt know why i didnt think to check that duh! So i deleted the samcfw.bin file that was on the floppy and replaced it with the samcfw.bin with the good key and did like you said reflashed and bingo it popped up works great! The weird thing is my drive read as a ms28, is that usually what happens after a flash of a ms25, just making sure cause it sure runs noisy haha anyhow thank you for responding i wouldnt have thought to check that key if not its good to have someone to bounce an idea to!
