So I bought a new drive after frying my last one, and it worked perfectly for about a month.
Now I have the "Open Tray" problem. Apparently its related to a faulty laser? At least thats what I've heard. I got it from a recommended ebay seller on here, and I'm sure it was just my rotten luck that I got the shitty one out of every bunch, but does anybody have any seller they swear by?
I'm looking for a BenQ. I don't want to bother with other drives.
Buying a New Drive?
Re: Buying a New Drive?
Hi got a number here for you. 07515 382608 the guy is called james., dealt with this person about six months ago and got a beng, drive from him through ebay, had no problems with it i dont, think he is trading on ebay anymore, but i am sure if you ring him he will be able to sort a drive for you he only deals in brand new drives hope you get sorted
Re: Buying a New Drive?
Before you invest in a new drive I would suggest trying the POT Tweak first. It's a very simple procedure for adjusting the laser in the drive. Some lasers have a hard time reading burnt disc and need to be power'd up a bit first.
