MS28 Playing Backups

Post by rkd2398 »

I flashed a guys MS28 the other day and he called and told me that some of the games he backed up play, but the others don't. I think that drive is old, but is this a sign it's dieing. Reads originals fine.

could be bad backups. can you try them on your 360 that will give you a better idea on what the prob is likely to be.

But some modded backups will not boot with ix1.6. Have a read over the notepad info from the 1.6fw will make some sense on what i mean

I have tried them on mine and one other 360 that both have 1.6 and they work. Hmm maybe a reflash might be in order?

Its like you told him, his laser is weak.

I think original's are a bit easier to read as opposed to backups. I cleaned a v47 that refused to play games, it then played originals, so a little later, I flashed it, and it only played some backups, but all originals...

(All the backups I tried on it were my own personal backups, and work fine on my console's)
