Hi folks,
I have been wrestling with an Hit79 and JungleFlasher 1.6
for the past night and have got to the stage where I want to flash ixtreme.
when I select flash iXtreme it saves the stock firmware but imediatly comes up with the error "Cant open file".
Im not sure I selected the correct firmware as there are 4 different ones listed under ix151-79 in the firmware folder. Is this the source of my problem and if so how do I know which one to use.? If not what is the problem.? I made the 79 unlock cd and got that to work...eventually....any help would sure be appreciated

Re: Trouble with an Hitachi 79
Jungleflasher should pick the right firmware based off the dump that it does of your 79. The reason there are 4 different ones is because some had their keys in a different location.
You can try firmware toolbox if JF isn't working right for you though.

Re: Trouble with an Hitachi 79
Thanks for the prompt reply Sadalius......I just re done the whole procedure just there and the same error comes up each time. I dump the drive and save the OFWHit,....I then open the target firmware as ixtreme 151-79 and spoof source to target....keys are identical. Then I go to flash ixtreme, do the save and bang...error "cant open file". Ill try firmware toolbox, but am not familiar with it Thanks M8.

Re: Trouble with an Hitachi 79
As for the cant open file, move your firmware into the jungle flasher FW folder.
Re: Trouble with an Hitachi 79
Thanks for the help folks.....firmware was not in the right folder as you suggested.

Re: Trouble with an Hitachi 79
I have never had this problem, and my FW is never in JF's FW folder, but apparently is a somewhat common problem.
