hello all can someone help me out with this problem.../question.... well im going to buy a xbox 360 that is in working condition and has been flash so far i know its an hitachi drive and works great...but the thing is he doesnt have the orignal bin to it could i or will i be able to reflash it when a new updated patch comes out?? can i still work with this???also is there any ways of telling what the patchmight be without opening and connecting it to the computer??? please help thanks

If it plays originals and backups as it is, then its fine. You can dump the FW from it, and get the key and ofw. Once you have the key and OFW, your golden.

By patch, I think you mean the dashboard update? We know what its for, its to add the new features, and to patch homebrew.

by patch i mean the hack firmware...1.5...1.6?...is there any way of telling what hack firmware it may have without opening it?

Well, there is no 1.6 for hitachi yet... If you put in a brand new game (3rd wave) and try to play it (original or backup) and it does not play, then there is 1.5 or 1.4 on the drive

Just see if he can remember when he had it flashed?
