Lite on Flashing help

Post by djshauny1 »

Ok guys im pretty new to this but here we go. Ive orderd a ck3 pro kit and the probe aswell. Im planning on flashing my lite-on drive in jungle flasher. I dont have a com port but i hear that you can use a usb to usb lead to do the job instead of the com port.

I have the sata lead and on board sata ready

Is this all i need to get the job done?? appart from the drivers and everyhing of course

Any help will be much appreciated.

Many thanks ;)

Yip the ck3 pro comes with the correct lead to enable you to use the usb for jungle. It's all down to the compatibility of you're onboard sata's. If the worst comes to the worst you might have to purchase a 6421 card and disable the via drivers but you should be good to go.

Yeah keep us posted and any problems post 'em up. As cofree said it's imperative that you save the dumped files in case you ever need them or there's a problem with the drive. Best off saving them somewhere off your pc too, maybe email them to yourself/burn them onto a disc etc. Happy flashing.

Theres no guarantees but as long as you rip it from a game you own and avoid downloaded iso's you should (with the emphasis on should) be ok.
