Is my Drive Finished?

Post by Cloud XV »

Before I start this is my first time flashing or even modding my console..

Ok, I followed the tutorials on here and flashed my Xbox 360 with BenQ 1.6. Everything seemed to go as planned and I was able to still play my origonal games (need to buy new dvd's to play my backups)
What I want to know is I heard people talking aobut havng to update to play newer games that will come out, if this is true when would I have to update and is my firmware already updated to play the newest games.

And at last Xbox Live, will I be banned for playing my origonal games on there or even for just connecting to Xbox Live?
Also can anyone please send a link to a nice Tutorial in burning games, from what kind of burner you need and if that needs to be flashed.

Thank you, this was the best Mod community I could find on the net :D

Yeah you should be fine playing online with your originals, burning games is easy, you should have an .iso file and a .dvd file for your game before you burn it, simply install image burn (can be found here http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... php?id=615" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ), open image burn, click on burn image to disc, click on the little folder with a magnifying glass in at the top of the program and locate the folder that holds the iso and dvd file in, open the dvd file, set your burn speed to 2.4x, untick verify as it is not needed, then click burn and let it do its business. It should take no longer than 25 minutes to burn :D

What about playing on XBL with my backups? Will that work, or do I need to do more with the disk.

The latest games are called third wave games. ixtreme 1.6 is able to play them. Anything prior to 1.51 is unable to play them...

If you burn a backup of your game, it should be safe (cannot say 100%) but its pretty safe.
If you download a game (which we do not support) you will likely be banned.

run the iso file through abgx (found here http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... php?id=576" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) there is a abgx tutorial so you should check that out too (found here http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... php?id=397" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

If you use ABGX set it so it doesn't auto patch files.
