Swaping Out Hitachi v59 To v78

Now I'm Using WinXp With Jungleflasher 1.66
With Via Port Using Port i/o since it wont make a Drive Letter appear.

To Swap
I Load The V78 Then Flash It With iXtreme And With The Original Key Of The V59
And Then I'm Good ?

Or Do I Just Load The Original Dummy.Bin and click spoof to target and pick
either
ix151-78-4b00.bin
ix151-78-4c30.bin
ix151-78-4d20.bin
ix151-78-4e10.bin
because i see that it automatically spoof to v59 when i do this.

Well with hitachi's to spoof them you need to flash in 3 steps. You first need to flash the key sector, then ixtreme, then the spoof data.

So take your 59 drive, and dump the FW from it. Save the key.bin or simply select the key (in jungle flasher) and copy it.

Now hook your 78 to your computer, and use JF to get it in mode b. Make sure you have your drive selected and everything is good. You can dump the 78 drive if you like. Then click flash key sector. Now you will need to paste in the key from the 59 fw, or just open the key.bin.

Now you will need to flash ixtreme so select flash ixtreme, let it do its thing, it will ask you to save the ofw, your choice...

Now for flashing the spoof data. Click flash spoof data, and a box will pop up, select (in the dropdown) a hitachi v59 drive, and click ok

If you want, this guy has a video tutorial on spoofing 79 into a 78 console. This is almost exactly what you will need to do except for the upload method, and the drive revision will be different...

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 850083F732" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(He does a hell of alot of explaining, so unless you are brand new to flashing, you should be able to skim through the tut)
