jungle flasher wont reconise drive

hiya,

i am trying to flash a hitachi 59 drive with jungle flasher (no connectivity kit) i hooked my up drive power from the xbox and connected it to a via card with sata cable i installed the via driver and was hoping to flash my xbox but then it isnt on the left side on top of "send to modeb" its sais no drives detected im planning to put it into mode b using the jungle flasher

please can you help me
if it to do withe the potIO3s driver how do in stall

have you flashed other drives on this sata port?

Check your different ports. and com 1 and 2

First off, disable your via drivers, having them enabled will almost guarantee problems while flashing in jungle.
(Right click my computer, go to manage, go to device manager, and look for raid controllers, then right click your via card and disable it.)

You NEED portIO installed to use jungle flasher, to install, go in your jungleflasher folder, and look for manual_install go in the folder, open the readme, and follow the instructions suited to your system.

Now JF should see your drive.

i heard for this i need another cable if im using portio
im planning on using serial ata (sata)

Nope, sata is the cable you need to use.

also im running windows server 2003 does it make a diffrence

It may, but you can install portio on win 2000, just follow the steps, and see if JF can recognize your drive.

i installed porIO and then connected up my xbox 360 drive but it dosent pick it up it picks up my hardrive and my computer cd drive but not my hitachi any ideas ?

have you checked all your ports? Are you using a via card?

no i didnt because my mate used the externel port and it worked but maybe it broke in the post ill check
