Thanks. I gave up on iprep and did dosflash. I knew that my drive was completelly erased so all i did was hit the write button and load up lit_CFW and boom goes the dynamite! Thanks for all your help guys. Also on another note IF you already have your key using JF then just spoof you Extreme 1.6 Firmware with it and use DOSFLASH, I found that worked for me.
I hoped this helped you out................

Re: Can't boot from flash drive
DUSTMAN can you boot from usb or floppy using 8.6 ?? and 1.5?? if so then do that and follow the tutorial that i gave you, you can still create the 1.6 fw and place tht in the backup folders. all you need from iprep is to get at the c:\
This can be done with floppy takes a few mins longer but it does work

Re: Can't boot from flash drive
Actually I did try to boot from floppy with 8.6 using 1.5iext but it would recognize the 1.5??? That's when I just went to dosflash and was finally succesfull. I still don't know what updating ixdef file in iprep means though. Can you point me to a tutorial or something on that? Re: Can't boot from flash drive
When the older revisions of IPREP was made it was programed so that the definitions for the firmware can be changed in the future as and when IXTREME create it, the ixdef.xml file just tells IPREP what firmware is what.dustman1995 wrote:Actually I did try to boot from floppy with 8.6 using 1.5iext but it would recognize the 1.5??? Re: Can't boot from flash drive
Just wanted to share with people. The Iprep 10.1 utility fails to copy over system files. Seems to happen more for BenQ setups. The io.sys, msdos.sys, and command.com were missing. So before launching Iprep, Open a CMD.exe console and navagate to "C:\Program Files\iPrep\Resources\Tools" and run "mkubt.exe G: -FS:FAT -Q -B:Dos". Substitue G: for your flash drive letter. The dos files are in the DOS sub folder. After that run Iprep like normal without format and you should be bootable. Peace out.
Re: Can't boot from flash drive
iprep is on v10.7
that is the iprep you should be using
there was a bug or 2 in the 10.1 iprep
