Hello everyone,
I have an old Lite - ON 74 that bricked on me. Basically, I was using iprep 8.8. Dump went OK and still have the ofw in the backup folder. Then when I tried to flash in the hacked fw after the erase a message saying "flash chip unknown" (or something along those lines) and that was it. The freaking Lite On is done!. Luckily, I had a spare lite on of the same fw revision, so I ran flit on the spare drive and it flashed nicely. The console is now working with the spare lite on.
However, I'd like to recover the old drive if possible. I posted for help on this matter, and some of the guys told me to look at the Lite ON Recover tutorial by Cofree.
I think I should mention that I have all the original backup files in my flashdrive (Dummy, inquiry, etc).
Now, I have a few questions:
1. I assume that I do not have re-do my hacked fw or dummy file since I have those already saved in my backup folder, correct?
2. I'll be using iprep 8.8 to make the bootable flash
3. As I understand the tutorial, once the bootable is ready, I need to remove from the USB root everything that has nothing to do with DOS. Do i need to remove firmtool too?
4. Do i need to move into the usb root litcfw, and do I have to rename it or just the way it is ok?
5. At 7:06 of the tutorial - please see http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=3226 -- COfree moves onto the USB root several files. WHere are these files coming from? ...I heard him saying something about jungleflasher and DOS, but not sure exactly what files he is talking about. If someone could please list the name of the files, that'd help a ton.
Thanx in advance

Re: Help with Lite On erase tutorial
all u need on that usb is :
1- make it bootable with iprep.
2- add l-i-eras to it, you can find it here or in other forum (lite on erase).
3- dosflash should be there after you do bootable with iprep.(if no add it).
4-your CFW.
erase with l-i-eras, dosflash and put into vendor mode, write cfw...thats it.
Good Luck.

Re: Help with Lite On erase tutorial
u can recover the lite on in jf also even if its not showing man
load up your dummy.bin file
load in ixtreme 1.6
spoof and save to file
go to mtk flash tab
select the port u are using or was using when u locked it up
then cick lite on erase
when u click yes the second time give it a second then power off and on
your drive flash properties should be listed on the right if done correctly
then just write to the drive
Ive helped people do this several times when they have locked there drive up
But if this doesnt work 4 u then go down the iprep route to recover your drive but it should work mate
