hi just got new lite-on drive83 useing iprep 10.7 do i need port32 drivers or via raid drivers
all so use ck3 pro do i need my usb cable hook up or not thanks for your help

far load via drivers download iprep10.7 net fw is 3.5 .cofree drive flashing tutorials
but still get error any help please date on drive is august 2009

Well, you dont need portio installed
You should have your drivers installed
You need an RS232 cable for iprep, you cannot use a usb
You MAY have gotten an 83 drive that has a different encryption method on it. Im not a big iprep user, so one of the other guys will need to guide you through it.

at what stage do you get that??

give a step by step on what ur doing

everthing fine untill iprep say for the first time.1 close try 2 eject try 3 hit y when ready then the error(i have no other drives hock up when useing iprep)

This is just to try and make sure its not a user error

so you type

l83 1234567 12345

then power on the drive

at this point the drive needs to be in the half way postion
then it takes you to step one.

is this where you get stuck?? if so try move the tray in diif postion a liitle more closed / open

could quite possibly be yes. hold fire a bit see what others come back with

if you have flashed one before and can flash other ones now
and
this "1" is giving you trouble then it could be something new
There is just not enough out there on anything new right now
it will take some time before any thing is known

I don't think you have the new encryption, 83's can be a pain.
Hook it up like you do a BenQ, no Probe, no Serial.

Maybe post a image of the exact output you get when the error happens

Is the error in DOS on while still in windows?
