Looking for a little advice here if sombody can help
I have done a few of the 7000 lite-ons and on a couple of times the pc has froze and i have had to do the erase through dosflash ( thanks to cofree great tut).
I was just wondering if the same can be done with the new lite-on drives 8000.
My pc only sometimes freezes on erase and i know about removing the via drivers but to be honest i dont find it that much of a hassle running dosflash.
Think i am going to be doing a 8000 drive tonight and dont want to mess it up being my first 1 and would just liek to make sure if drive temp bricks i am able to recover it in dos.
Thanks

Re: Lite-on erase
Ok when u pull the key and create your firmware in jungleflasher save it as litcfw.bin
In the iprep flash u make there will be a folder called backups
open that and make a new folder and call it 1234567 and create another folder insdide that and call it 12345
Then place the litcfw.bin file in that
So it will look like BACKUPS/1234567/12345/LITCFW.BIN
Then when in iprep just type flit 1234567 12345
Follow the instructions from there and it will flash and the drive will be restored
Hope this helps
