Which Lite-On firmware to use?

Just cracked the case on my new Arcade model and was pleased to find that i have the 83850c firmware... but when i log into Xbins i see more than one firmware in the lite-on section.

There is the repack, and then there is the firmware with 83850c in the filename. I've read lots of places that you're supposed to use the repack when modding but the date on the 83850c firmware is like 3 months newer.

Can someone please clarify so i can proceed with modding the drive?

I have successfully modded 4 or 5 hitachi and one Benq so far... not expecting it to be easy but should be do-able. I hope.

if you have the 74850c rev drive you will need to use the firmware named -- ix16-liteon-repackif you have the 83850c rev drive you will need to use the firmware named -- ix16-liteon838

using the wrong firmware will more than likely damage the drive

note that with a 83850c drive you do not need to use a probe, the guides on this drive is in the tut section
