or
you can update the def file in iprep and it will load the v1.6 firmware.
intheshade wrote:there is really no reason for 360 mod disc not to work,
ok man think about this

he has a drive that does not have firmware on it at all(at this point)
when you boot on the mod disc
it dumps the drive
builds the hack firmware
and flashes it in.
but
the problem is
it cant build the hacked firmware (and work) because there is no key.
so at this point there just is no way for mod disc to get his key and flash his drive and it work.

I know you are the owner of this site, but you are wrong, 360 mod disc will flash it, it might not put the right key. but it will make it where the drive will eject once again. watch the 3 videos i posted. this guy clearly stats this also. you were asking me to read all posts before i offered advice, but i was saying the whole time that you would need to get back in jungleflasher to finish the flash.

ive actually tried this method before posting this thread and it did not work. when "reading bank 0" it would just stay there with no "ok!"

I don't want to argue but you may need to watch the video too. 360 mod disc will ask you if the read was successful, and No Matter what you are suppose to answer yes. I am using 360 mod disc v1.6.

lmao its cool, i dont wanna argue either cuz u just wanna help. but the problem is when it reads bank 0 it stays at 3 dots with no "ok!". with that being said i cant really do anything while its reading. ima try one more time now before moving on to the method described earlier in the post.

have you been entering the correct sata port in the 360 mod disc? i had to use jungleflasher to find the correct sata port. you cant use the one that the guy uses in the video. if you can go to jungleflasher and remember which port was selected, write it down than enter it when 360 mod disc prompts you to.

Show some respect here, CoFree gave advice on what he has found and trust me he knows hell of alot more than what we .do. Me personaly have never been able to get it to recover a drive. Like cofree said no FW = no drive

well you may have me there
im sure it will flash what is on the disc as long as you have the port right

but
as far as im concerned getting the drive working is all that matters
so getting firmware in that has a key
will save you a step.

but yea guys lets
get this thread back 100% on track.

budokai666
you need to pick how you want to try to recover this drive and stick with it.
so the guys can help you
we all got out of line by jumping all over the place with you.
thats over now
post your question and we will do our best. :D
