iprep and vista

hi, i'm a noob to xbox flashing, ive just tried to flash my liteon drive with jungle flasher, the ck3 connectivity kit and the probe,i managed to extract the key erase the drive. currently i have a drive that wont do anything, i followed cofrees's video guide to iprep i have the data needed on the usb stick i just cant get vista to boot from the usb.is there away around this?

Have you gone into your bios and set it to boot from usb as the first device?

thanks for your reply. yeah ive been into the bios and changed the boot order to boot from usb generic drive. could i do anything else.
here's a list of what i have on the usb drive. any help you can provide is greatly appreciated
iDump, iFlash, MTKFlash, DosFlash.typ, ix15Benq.bin, ix15-liteon.bin, ix15-sam.bin, L-O-Eras, samtool, MTKFlash.typ, DosFlash.typ, intro, ixtreme.bin, Lite_CFW.bin

if you extracted and erased with JF, why don't you just write the firmware with it?

my liteon drive locked up after the erase in jungle flasher i cant seem to write the firmware to the drive with jf.

im going nuts with this, i seem to have everything on the usb it just wont boot. i've been into the bios changed the boot order to no avail. can anybody help please, i have a locked liteon drive and my wife thinks it's funny.

Before you go any further try changing the format to Fat in case your system doesnt like fat32 and maybe try a different stick (anything under 2 gig is spot-on)

thanks mate,my stick is 1 gig and looks as though its fat already not fat 32

In that case select fat32 with iprep.my old pc would only accept fat16 but my new 'un only likes fat32. :D

i had some technical difficulties and was offline for a while, but i still need help with this issue.I've re traced my steps and i still cant get iprep to boot on my system anyone have any ideas

i finally got this sorted i was never able to get iprep to boot on my machine, if this is a problem with my packard bell machine or just with vista in general i was never able ascertain for certain. i resolved this issue on a machine using xp following the iprep tutorial i found on this site. this was a long drawn out process which i wouldn't wish on anybody. if anyone is having similar problems my thoughts are with you, go in peace.
