With the ISO DVD will I still be able to rip the game to the HD? Or do I need to use it everytime I pop in the game?

Thats a good point, I wonder if you would be able to use the boot disk, copy to HDD, then play from your HDD whenever...

The only problem I can see with that is the xbox acknowledging the disk in the drive is the game you just copied to your HDD...

I've still convinced myself that the safest option for online is to copy it onto the hard drive from the original and only use the backup disc for loading. Hah.(yeah deep down i know its nutz but meh it keeps me happy. :D ). Oooh might be worth a try though.

Thats what im wondering, because if you but the activate.iso in, then the game, and copy it to your HDD.

Then I wonder if you keep the game disk in the drive, if your drive can still identify it as a certain game. I would think so as ABGX can still see the game title, manufacturer etc... I wonder if that would be enough for your console to figure out the disk in the tray is the same as on your HDD, and allow you to play it.

Do you have either with you? Try copying them to your HDD, and see if you need your activate disk to play from your HDD

2 quick questions: I am going to update my firmware from 1.5 to 1.51 or 1.6 and trying to make a decision. I have a lite-on drive

1.) I have read that in theory iExtreme 1.51 SHOULD work for every wave because it doesn't check/verify the video partition (and yes I know not safe online for new games) -BUT to contradict that I have heard people report it is NOT working in the case of Lite-on and BenQ drives. Can anyone confirm this either way?

2.) I don't play online and was using the "patch" on my 1.5 flashed system- worked great. I know that my games wont work on the 1.6 iextreme (but I guess theywill on the 1.51)- what I was wondering (actually told this to be true by a friend who hacks these) is that 1.6 will work on the "patched" game disks if I apply the activation ISO. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks much in advance- just found this site and it is GREAT! I'm new to this, but a quick learner.

Sorry Cofree I am still getting the hang of it over here. I sent you a message on your youtube. If you could answer me there when you get a chance I would REALLY appreciate it.

Only Hitachi drives?- I wasn't sure that was verified. Could you possibly use the "patch" that people used with 1.5/1.4 to get 3rd wave -for 1.51 to get wave 4? Thanks (yes, I know it make LIVE unsafe).

If you can't use a patch or anything else with 1.51 (or 1.5/1.4) to get wave 4 I would think there is going to be some patch for those of us that have a 360 that we don't take online.
