M$ being able to scan your f/w

Ok I got a message the other day from a friend on xbl that M$ was going to be scanning the f/w on everyone's drives on the 17th,18th, and 19th of Nov. He also said not to take the update because it will **** your 360 up. He said the last update we had in Aug. he accepted and it ****ed his 360 up. Personally I think it is because his 360 has been flashed in a different way than mine has but I am not sure. What is everyone else's thoughts on this?

haha no man, the aug update patched the jtag exploit, nothing more nothing less. I'm close to 100% sure it had 0 effect on your friend. (From reading his message)

The fact that he has dates for the 'FW scanning' proves this is fake, I can guarentee M$ wouldnt just scan over a period of 3 days, and they definitely would not let anyone know they were doing it. Not only that but its HIGHLY unlikely they would, or even could do that.

The beta update has already been released, and as far as I know there have been no problems as of yet...

Figure I should bump this...

Seems as though M$ has a new method for detecting modded xbox's (possibly FW scanning?) but clearly his dates are way off...

Interesting... CK3? What kind of games were played on the console? You use ABGX? If so what are your settings like? Does it tweak the angles, patch files etc?

the one that i own and two others got banned..yes with ck3..mine that got bann..we really never played any burned games on it...we pretty much used the other console,that has a liteon drive in it with ix1.6 and i use the activate cd on that one plenty of times...no my wife would play cod world at war...but not a backup the orignal..i personal think it the ix1.61...
