questions about my xbox 360 and lite-on

anyway back to my questions. In the summer time i buy a xbox 360 and my friend take me to this guy that flash xbox 360 and the thing is now i can flash my own xbox 360 the bad part is i don't have my xbox 360 hard drive key. Because the damm fool don't give it to me whan i got my xbox 360 now i have to update my firmware and i don't know what to do. read the drive and use the old firmware to get my key or i am shit out of luck

Your key is in the firmware. Just read the drive, and save the FW. Your key will be in the FW, but if you are updating, I would hold off a week or 2 as there will be a new FW comming out soon...

Do you mean the dvd key? If your xbox 360 still plays games then your ok cuz your key is there.Dont matter what firmware you have the key is there.

o ya this is kind funny but f__ up 2 week a go i was flash my friend xbox 360 and my ck3 probe green light keep stay on without me putting in the 707 hole but it still work getting the key off the drive

i have a questions do i need to use my ck3 probe or use dosflash to read my old fw to get dvd key or what you say befor

You need a ck3 and probe. (unless you have an 8 series lite-on)

You can use whatever method to read, and flash the drive you feel comfortable with. I prefer to use jungleflasher, but if you have a 64bit OS, you will need to use iPrep.

i have both ck3 and probe and i use jungleflasher and l-o-eras and dosflash and iprep because sometime whan i'm use jungleflasher whan i go to do the lite-on eras it Frozen up my pc so i just do it in dosflash so i know notthing can't go bad

Well what you need to do first is dump the drive. Dont erase until you have dumped the drive.

You can dump via jungle or dosflash it doesnt matter, but since you have been able to use jungle up to the erasing and flashing part, you may want to read the drive with it, then save that FW, and backup your key in places.

Then you can build your CFW and go to town in dosflash. (You can also read the drive with dosflash if your more comfortable)

i find using dosflash is easy and safe way not getting Frozen up like in JF i just have bad luck on erase the lite-on drive i don't know maybe i have bad timing on turn off and turn on part who know lol
