Re: i have a questions
Laptop flashing is a hard thing to do. A couple guys on the site have tried it, but never succeeded... There are a few people out there who have flashed successfully with a laptop, and for all I know they may even flash all their drives with a laptop.
I dont know that I would reccomend this to you, as you will get VERY little support from people, as not many are able/have done it.

Re: i have a questions
Why a second PC? if I were you, id make myself a permanent setup.
In my case, I have my ck3 on top of my HDD enclosure for quick and easy access, then I have my sata cable (which is always hooked to my via card) tucked along the side of my case, and I have a molex extention cable tucked neatly along side my HDD enclosure.
Everything is ready to go, it literally takes me 10 seconds to get everything ready. I also have an rs232 cable tucked nicely near the back of my case ready to go...

I bought a 2 foot sata cable from ebay for like $1.50 for my setup, you can try ebay or your local computer store.
