Wave 4 - iXtreme 1.61 - Hitachi Drives

Post by frodeaux »

With all this 1.61 - Wave 4 stuff going around, what does this mean for Hitachi Drive owners?

I own an Hitachi drive with iXtreme 1.51 flashed drive. And since there is no 1.61 at the moment for Hitachi / LiteOn owners, I have Some questions I think would help a lot of people, if we could get answered.

1. Can Hitachi 1.51 flashed drives play Wave 4 Backups?

1A. If so, is there a risk of getting banned by playing a Wave 4 Backups online? ( other than the normal risk )

2. It has been months since 1.6 was released for the other drives, and Hitachi / LiteOn owners have still not seen a 1.6 upgrade. Could we expect the same delay for this update?

3. What is the deal with Wave 4 - Who should play this, How should we back them up, What special do we need to start doing in order to be safe with this Wave 4 media?

Thanks In Advance, I think a post like this will help a lot of people if we can get some solid answers.

So the Hit 1.5 will play wave 4 backups? What about the safety of playing them online. Is the risk any greater?

No need to worry. iXtreme 1.51 on a Hitachi drive simply doesn`t check the "wave" in the game. You should be ready to play any wave that comes out! Just don`t forget to verify the game on abgx360 before playing it.

We`re lucky! I love you, hitachi!

As above, I just flashed a Hit 78 with 1.51 and it direct boots wave 4 (TK & MW2) are the ones I tried without the acto disk.
