iprep & booting from usb
iprep & booting from usb
my main board doesnt have usb booting & i dont have a floppy drive is there anyway to boot iprep from a cdr disk my liteon drive screwed up during the erase method i have the drive key & all the other files. another question which iprep has the dos files that i need.
Re: iprep & booting from usb
how old is your computer? and did you try checking the bios/cmos to see if it can boot from usb?
those dos files can be found in iPrep 8.8 i believe. but you can use iPrep 10.7 and just do the flash portion and the drive will open up when you press eject from the connectivity kit if it doesn't open up automatically. you will have to rename the cfw file according to the version you use.

Re: iprep & booting from usb
i build it this earlier this year it dosent have the usb option in the bios only floppy & dvd & hd drives. will iprep reconize my dvdrom drive even if the drive doesnt eject caused by the erase method?
Re: iprep & booting from usb
Your main objective is going to be getting something that you can use to boot iprep with. Then getting it finished out with the flash will be secondary.
