Will there ever be any updates for the Hitachi drives? Sorry guys I'm new with the xbox scene, so I'm sorry if this questions has already been asked and answered.

lol.....I am waiting for the abgx update as well.......I am sure everyone has seen the ban hammer M$ has dropped on people this week.......pretty messed up but I imagine a large majority of them had it coming......not using abgx and playing the game two weeks early.

No you should be fine, but always remember to take the game out so the drive doesn't get stuck.

It will be a while after the BenQ, Lite-On and Sammy's have been released. The Hitachi's are trickier than the other drives.

Read a posible ETA on http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152 ... 61-810667/, don't know if it's true. Friday 6th of november could be the date for the LiteOn 1.61 release.

We will have to wait and see if it's true ;)

Revised.

Hi, I have a liteon and there is no 1.61 f/w for it

Is it true the 1.61 f/w is the same thing as 1.51 just rebranded if so, would it be safe to play wave 4 games on it

thanks
