Lets do a study on banned consoles...

Maybe we can narrow down the cause of this ban. Everyone who got banned:

1. DVD Drive
2. Firmware Flashed
3. Were you using activation disc
4. What games were you playing, title/wave

4. Wave4: GTA, Dragon Age, Tekken 6 Wave3: Forza 3

Dont know how effective this will be, as the wave seems to hit different places, not everywhere at once, and it seems to be on going...

For me, I have a benq, ms28, 78, 7 series and 8 series drives, and they are all running 1.6 (1.51 on the 78) and none have been banned, (knock on wood) no activate disks, no wave 4.

I have about 30 people I keep in contact with and their boxes are fine, their drives all range, but they are all on 1.6 or 1.51 (hit) and have not used activate.iso the only wave 4 they would have played would be from the original disk.

No one said that, this thread was purely created to 'examine' banned xbox's and see if there is a common denominator... They may very well have a division of M$ devoted to staying in the know of the modding scene, they may not... There is no real evidence either way...

Although I like the idea of having a place to discuss this information here on RHPG, the details concerning bans are ubiquitous and widely polluted across many websites. Does there really need to be another? Locked for now.
