so my wife went to play cod4 and her box got banned.

her box is (not) even flashed
playing a game she got from gamestop.

xboxlive will not even tell me why.

Did she buy the console second hand as it might have been flashed before and put back to stock?

when i called xbox
they siad you have not registered with live yet . i was like yeah i just bought the box last week

Someone might have gutswapped it for some unknown reason and you might have bought it unknowingly. Were they stroppy on the phone as i've heard horror stories from lads who were banned and trying to fight 'em?

all the lite-on 74 drives i flashed are banned.

the sammys and benq's are fine.

i used iprep with ck3 and probe. kreon drive + gamefly.

you would think it was safe. microsoft must have found a way to detect CFW on lite-on drives
only game they all had in common was COD4 MW so thats not it.

i would return your xbox to bestbuy.
i know bestbuy very well. they will double and tripple check to make sure you never opened it.
tell them it turns on then turns off after a few minutes.

and there is NO possible way to get your console unbanned.
you just buy a new one.

Hi guys, 3 of my pals got banned today in uk, old box with hit 79, elite with benq and premium with lite on 74. We all play online and have our own backups of our originals, all running iX 1.6 except the hit 1.51. My premium with sammy spoofed as lite-on 1.6 is fine and my wifes premium with benq 1.6 spoofed as hitachi 79 is fine, all play cod 4 99% of the time. a few other mates have not been banned either. Just does not make sense, how even people with unmodded consoles are being banned too.

I had 1.6 and was banned, my wife has 1.51 and is fine. That's why I was trying to get a study on the matter going but my post was locked.

Just curious about everyone who got banned is all.

ok i remembered i did play star wars and although it passed abgx 360 i just checked and and it was a bad kreon rip i should have known better.

wheres a good place in the uk for gut swop

probably argos or somewhere like that, they dont seem like the place that would be aware of it, just make sure you pay with cash. let us know how it goes.
