xbox powering drive to flash

hi guys , i flashed my 360 with 1.6 and iprep powering drive with 360 , now i want to flash it with 1.61 using jungleflasher could i still do it by powering drive with 360 ?

U can but i wouldnt recomend doing it that way
Some say that when the console is switched on without the drive connected it stores that info
And when u connect it to live again it will send that info to M$
Will all the bans recently id be a bit more careful
But its up to you at the end of the day

i already did it that way with 1.6 so i might aswell do it this way, was just asking if it be ok to flash it using jungleflasher 1.66b without problems by using 360 as power cause i used iprep for 1.6 , not fussed about ban ill but new one this is a repaired console anyhows,thx 4 ur reply
