How does the ban wave work?
Im trying to flash my friends liteon. I already got the fw out and just need to unlock the drive and I found out that I cant replace the stock fw. So how does the ban wave work? Will he get banned for just having the drive flashed or will he get banned if he plays any copied game?

DONT DO IT!
wait until they have figured out a way to not get detected
wait for a new firmware thats undetectable or a new way to make games.
until then... you WILL be banned

as of right now no one can give you a specific reason as to why the consoles are being banned. the various ways and methods of modding the drive, the right or wrong way has been detected. so for now everybody with a modded drive is walking on thin ice, wether you've played a game or not.
