like to prepare for mw2, I played my cod 5 original, is that the reason i got caught and banned

wouldn't know, no definite answer on why people are being banned other than the fact that the console is modded and even with that people who say their console wasn't modded are saying they've been banned. . .

i noticed about 2 days ago that MW2 was released by play.com about a week before the official release date.
my brother got banned today, he's got a liteon drive with iX 1.51 FW. Hes not too pissed because the console only has one month warranty left. the shitty thing is, that he’s just activated the 12 months live card, last week.

And for the record he never plays games before the release date and all the games are fully checked and verified with abgx360. it will be interesting to find out what the experts tell us.

I was thinking cod6. My mistake. Who the hell know what anyone was banned?! Microsoft figured out something or new all the while who was doing what and playing what. They did make the console, there is no way that can be outsmarted to that extent. Billion dollar company with alot of resources and the back end knowledge to know that to look for. We are all just playing the guessing game here and I think they (Microsoft) would much rather have it that way. I am going to buy a PS3 game tomorrow! Who's with me?!

yeah...thinking about it, it would make sense. maybe m$ only ban a maximum number of people ,randomly ,every time, because reading other comments of people that' have been banned, shows that they have made the essential steps from avoiding the ban, but unfortunately have still been banned

yeah i dont think he will though, i didnt think he even realised that he only had a month left of warranty on it, im feeling more sorry for the kid that only just got an xbox and got banned straight away, and to make it worse it wasnt even modded, thats just harsh man.

do you think they might be doing it by isp? what isp do yall have? i have suddenlink broadband, my ip is static cause i can't change it like dynamic ones. my xbox is through a router too. i'm not banned yet and been online all day, even gonna pop in a new game tonight. just a thought.

Gosh,we need someone to work for M$ as a spy haha!It sounds funny,but could possibly work,understanding exactly HOW they ban consoles.

Luckily I'm still not banned. Funny thing, neither is anyone else I've flashed an xbox for. I have done 18 consoles for friends who I keep in touch with. I get them all their games, check everything with abgx360, tell them not to go online early and disconnect their HDD when playing pre-release games. With all the bans going on, you'd think at least one of them would have been hit, but no.

Anyways, here's a tip on how to check if you're banned BEFORE connecting to Live (so you don't end up with a crippled HDD)



I suppose it's basic common sense, but it never even occurred to me before I saw this vid, so I thought I'd post it here. It's probably a good idea to disable auto sign-in on your profile and start doing this check every time you go on live, just in case.

NAND chip in your motherboard. records pretty much everything that happens in your console. when you go on xbox live. the console sends that information to MS

i live in washington nc. not too many people around her knows anything about modding consoles. most of them are rich and just buy the games again if they break lol. i hope i don't get banned.

I just got banned today. I called MS and they said there is nothing they can do. Go purchase a new xbox 360. That's what I was told. That sucks balls. Anyway, I do have another one. I did check to see if it can connect to XBL. So are, it can. I hope the ban wave will lighten up after the release of MW2. Anyway, good luck to all of you with flashed consoles and and haven't gotten banned yet. I heard CoFree got banned. Anyway, good luck.
