You can't play a backup with out the Customer firmware from Commodore4eva!FunkyMonk wrote:If some people, as they claim, only play their own backups. What's really the point in flashing in the first place?? Seems pointless to me.
i think he means way flash why not just use ur originals, so they dont get scratchedtechnoe wrote:You can't play a backup with out the Customer firmware from Commodore4eva!FunkyMonk wrote:If some people, as they claim, only play their own backups. some people really just do it so they don't ruin the original disc. . .FunkyMonk wrote:If some people, as they claim, only play their own backups. What's really the point in flashing in the first place?? Seems pointless to me.

Good story thats why i make backups also, 8 yr old boys have a way of testing the durability of things
Where did you read this? Surely this is not true, as you can upgrade/downgrade the kernel.... lol.technoe wrote:Guys if you are reading this, do not even think about if you've been playing online anytime soon! When the NXE update was released and YOU downloaded it so you could keep playing online then you cannot perform the keyvault swap anymore. This was possible through a security hole in the bios that WAS patched via NXE! I'm sorry if you were given false hope!nimda0 wrote:Now, if you do get banned... YES you can get your console unbanned. Contrary to popular belief, you can extract the nand.bin file from a non-banned console (red ringed that you might buy from let's say... Ebay for cheap), and then place the key information from the nand.bin on the non-banned console onto the one that is banned and it will again work on xbox live. It's been done.... many, many times. Google xbox 360 keyvault swap.
heh, thats what i've been trying to tell these knuckleheads lol. There's a big long update that's doing it. They're sending it out as a result of something they see, but the long update is whats checking for the firmware discrepencytdavidson5636 wrote:Just read through 15 pages of posts. So M$ is sending for drive response then the time it takes for your drive to reponed is how they are detecting that your box is modded. So if I leave my box open and have one drive with ofw and a clone drive with cfw, then when there is a update I power down swap drives and power on and update then power off and swap again I should be fine? What do you guys think? I know its not all updates just the big long updates. I am preaty sure thats how I got banned. Got big update then two days later was banned. I have my old box that has not been baned. It is a ms28 if I return it to ofw and swap my HDD when they send update like I think they will my drive should send a good response right? Or because its benn altered before I will still be hit?
