First of all thanks for a great forum, lots of great stuff and tons of info. Ok so im ready to flash my xbox 360 arcade that has a 74850C lite-on drive (yellow wire). This is what i have ordered of the net -
Xecuter CK3 Pro
CK3 Probe No Solder Addon
25 Dvd+R DL x8 8.5gb for backing up my legit games
My pc is a shuttle fn85 - Features a mainboard based on NVIDIA nForce3 150 chipset. This pc has no sata so i have bought a usb to sata adapter. Could this cause me problems ? If so can somebody reccomend me a good sata card that has no problems with xp and the 74850C lite-on drive.
Also my dvd-DL burner in my pc is a Lite-on Dvd R/RW DR L SHW-160P6S and because of the shuttle design i can lift the lid of the shuttle and easily hot swap disks when backing up. Is this drive ok for backing up games?
I have already opened up the xbox and am just waiting for the ck3 pro kit to arrive and verification for whether or not i can use the sata to usb adapter.
Also I have only one game at the moment and that is fifa 10, will i need to buy a older game to help me backup my xbox games, I am planning on buying lots of new games of ebay and would like to have theml all backed up.
Thanks in advance for your responses and i will share my flashing experiance with you once i have received all the kit.

Hi and welcome to the site.
These are links to flashing the drive using either jungleflasher or iprep
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=7783" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.robinhoodsplayground.com/for ... 195&t=7669" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And most people on this site reccomend you use the VIA sata card when flashing, this is a link to one sold in the UK
http://www.ck3.co.uk/VIA-6421-PCI-Sata- ... roved.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You can also pick them up on EBAY.
I am not sure about using that drive for backups because i use a Kreon drive myself but there are plenty of people on here who will know

its not that big of a deal
but its rude.
you should start your own thread to ask your question.
That is right but only for iprepantyn wrote:most people on this site reccomend you use the VIA sata card when flashing
dont even install a via card or drive if you are going to use jungle flash
as long as you have onbo sata ports
if you dont then you may have to install a pci sata card
you will not find anyone hear (i think)microdisiac wrote:Lite-on Dvd R/RW DR L SHW-160P6S and because of the shuttle design i can lift the lid of the shuttle and easily hot swap disks when backing up. Is this drive ok for backing up games?
that backs up a game with hot swap
there are so many options now
you can use one of the
Kreon drive
or
you can pick up a samsung or benq cheap on ebay and flash in the 0800 firmware
(that is the BEST way)
