Liteon Drive Keeps Opening, Green Light Flashing

Okay so I've been trying to flash my Liteon 83850c drive for the last few days. And before I erased my drive (but after I read the key and everything) my drive had a little problem, it kept opening, even after powering off the XBOX 360 Elite.

Now I've successfully flashed the drive and the problem is back, drive just keeps opening and the green power light on the front keeps flashing.

When I press the eject button, the drive slides out (XBOX dashboard says "opening...", then switches right back to "closing..." (without me doing anything), drive slides back in, then there are 2 weird noises (always the same ones and always in the same intervall) coming from inside, dashboard switches to "opening..." again and the drive slides out.

Sometimes at the end it says "opening..." and it doesn't open, but when I switch off the XBOX after that (hoping that the drive will be recalibrated or something) the drive slides out every single time.

I read about the problem of the XBOX still being in vendor mode, but I did the outro and everything with the MTK tab in Jungle Flasher.

I also read about the magnet sticking to the top problem, but thats not it as the magnet is still in.

Also, I couldn't find any fault with the eject button.


I hope someone can help me, I'm really bloody angry right now, tried for days to flash the drive, finally did it and now this crap is happening.

i ve ran into this problem sevaral times with an hitachi. no matter what hitachi i put in there the same thing but as soon as i flashed/spoofed a different model it was fine. I don't think reflashing will help because you had the problem before. you can try replacing the drive cables but i doubt its that. maybe a sticky button on the board. sorry no good answer but maybe something to work with

crap, well, tried to reflash the drive (read your reply too late), it got stuck at bank 3 and is now constantly in 0x80 status, tried in dosflash, tried in JF

the status never changes from 0x80 no matter how often i try l-o-eras and power cycle it and unplug/plug back the power cable, the drive is NEVER found in dosflash (always getting the "no ATAPI devices present!" error) and therefore i can never get into device intro

i've tried switching ports on my via card, tried a different SATA cable, no luck at all

does anyone know what the hell is wrong this time?

in jungleflasher erase it and then power cycle it then intro it and then power cyle and intro again then try to write to it

i tried to erase it with JF, but i keep getting the 0x80 status, i can power cycle the crap out of it, it still doesn't change status

oh yeah, it also isn't recognized in JF (getting "No Drive Detected!) but i know the port

i've got the tray half open, does that make some difference?

Try a Outro too it first. If you got the dummy bin and cant get it , order a benq off fleabay. 25 bucks or austrians whatever you monies called and order from the country you are in so you get a new one quick. spoof it Every computers different did you remove your via driver before you flashed the lite on. I if your using onoard sata don't remove drivers. try different com ports.

okay, which benq drive do i need? (basically, what do i need to search for on ebay )

and how do i spoof a liteon dummy.bin to a benq drive?

jup, tried everything i know of, dosflash (iprep), jungle flasher, dosflash 32, nothing works
