Windows 7 reviews
Windows 7 reviews
Hello Everyone,
I have installed Windows 7 before 15 days and it's just amazing. Here I am sharing some experience of Windows 7.
Strengths:
So far it seems to be doing the business with the same speed as XP. Intuitive interface and navigation, uncluttered and easy to follow instructions and very nice to look at too!
Weaknesses:
Not found any yet.
Overall Evaluation:
So far so good, maybe the next worthy evolution of XP?

I agree i have not found any problems with 7 yet. i like how if you if you come across a compatability issue you can run each program in a VM shell of XP. its similar to compatability mode but its like have a VM on your OS without even noticing it.

Well I should edit that, and say best windows OS ive used so far.
Re: Windows 7 reviews
I share everyones enthusiasm about win 7. I think it's the best OS MS has put out yet. Not saying it isn't without flaws, but it works well for what I use it for and the fact I didn't have to install the mega huge software package for my HP wireless printer because win 7 has the ability to scan for wireless printers and it installed the driver all by itself is amazing to me.

Thats a big plus with me too, I haven't installed a single driver since using win 7, I installed the OS, logged on, and began moving files from my other HDD.sadalius wrote:the fact I didn't have to install the mega huge software package is amazing to me.
Also, the upgrade function is really cool (if you have vista) a buddy of mine upgraded his comp from vista to win 7 it took ~20 min longer than my install, but his comp was the exact same as before, but running win 7, all his settings, and files were there.

My win 7 takes about 10 seconds to boot. (My xp takes about 30-45 seconds)Hackedit wrote: I havent tried ChromeOS so far all ive heard about it is that its free and has a 7 second boot time. That is flippin amazing if its true
Re: Windows 7 reviews
The 7 seconds im talking about is from power on to inside OS browsing. How much ram you have in your system to make win 7 do that, i think i need to go get some more anyway im running 7 with 1gb.HaGGardSmurf wrote:My win 7 takes about 10 seconds to boot. (My xp takes about 30-45 seconds)
Re: Windows 7 reviews
I have noticed that win 7 is much better at booting and shutting down that vista or xp. xp wasn't too bad on boot, but shut down times got to be a pain for me. I run 4 GB ram on this box and it boots in about 10 seconds too, running an AMD Athlon X64 X2 dual core 4200+. She's not top of the line, but it does what I need it too.

Windows 7 starts up, shuts down, resumes from standby, and responds faster. You'll have fewer interruptions and can recover more quickly from problems when they do occur because Windows 7 will help you fix them when you want.
