Two xbox 360's on the same router
Hey not sure if this is the correct place to be asking this if not please redirect me. Is it at all possible to have two connected to one router at the same time and if so is there a guide cause I am stumped quite honestly. I have heard so many things yes you can no you can't, I just want a def answer. Thank you in advance.
Re: Two xbox 360's on the same router
yes you can
both can be on live at the same time and you will be able to play games that have system link also
all you do is hook them to the router with a cat5 cable
just like you would a pc

Yea cofree that still did not work also I was looking more along the lines of doing this wirelessly
Re: Two xbox 360's on the same router
you can do it wireless
it dont matter
as long as your consoles hit the router and get a ip address from the same network
then all the system link stuff will work
and
if you are on the net then they will get on live all so

If that is still not working, your router might not be able to handle the traffic from both boxes. I know my dlink router is fine with system link, but they both can't be on live.

Apparently Dlink's are the only 'xbox compatible' router, linksys has some firmware update that will make it 'xbox compatible'...
My linksys is a pain in the ass, no matter what I try I cannot get my NAT to open, its always on moderate. As for my dlink, I didnt need to mess with any ports, and my nat was open, ive had multiple xbox's online (4 at one point) and I know a buddy of mine was having huge problems with his belkin, it would constantly kick him off the network if another console signed in.
We went out the other day and bought him a dlink and he said he has had 0 problems, and had both console's online as well as 2 desktop computers...
