Memorex Flashing

I just recently thought it might be possible to flash firmware to another type of drive,other than a default 360 drive.I took apart a memorex drive,but it has no SATA drive.Is this concept still out in the air?If it was possible it would be a neat idea.

Dang,took it all apart for no reason.Do you know why you couldn't flash it?
