? I have always used abgx level 3 when backing up my originals so does that mean they are ready for the new firmware or do they still have to be redone over again with the new abgx letting abgx completely run the whole process all the way through the video check that it checks at the end?

from what i believe and read the requirments for the older firmwares are differnt to the new LT. So looks like they all need to be doctord. But remember playing online is not safe anyway. Its just a case in when and not if you get banned, M$ will strike back just like they always do.

I read somewhere else that they are going to release it after xmas, since they are "supposedly" making some money off of it by selling a pre-xmas/pre-official release....dont believe me.. i just read this on some other forums.

I dont think they would suddenly change theyre mind about giving it ot the public for a small fee, they have always gave it out for free, plus why would they give it out after christmas when its complete all they are doing now is running a few more tests, the source you read from musnt of been a reliable one my friend

Well even if the team have broke up it shouldnt matter so much about the replease of the firmware, its now complete so there shouldnt be a problem with releasing it

So what's the deal with LIVE and a modded console now? Just a case of taking the risk and hoping for the best once the next ban wave comes along? Was anyone able to find out how MS were able to detect the firmware?

No i dont think so mate, i think the only way we will know how they detect the firmware is if one of the workers exposes how they know, but in theory the xbox send a log to microsoft everytime you go online and they can tell by the log, thats what most people think anyways lol and by the way people the twitter page has been updated, seems to be that non verb media have problems wehn it comes to playing the games, shouldnt be too hard for the team to fiix though so im still expecting the firmware to be knocking at our drives real soon

C4 openly said they detect through the stealth checks that the FW's do.

the new ix's do stealth checks to make sure its a good backup, the original FW does not. Personally I believe there is more to it...

Definitely fake. I'd phone him up just to mess with him see how much he knows. If he turns out to be an idiot, id just throw random terms at him and have a bit of fun.

ok so ive been wondering.... since the 360 can turn on and function normally without a drive connected (except for reading discs of course). And microsoft bans us because they detect the firmware in our drive. what would happen if i go on live with my drive disconnected? Came here because maybe one or two of you has already tried this.. I dont want to try it since i only got 1 console and im broke without a job.so i cant afford another one..i managed to get offline before the ban wave started..so im still "not banned"

so if any of you guys got the monies to afford this test..(in case it goes bad) let me know the results.

dont M$ know if your drive isnt connected,i heard this somewhere(cant think where).i would think this was a sure way to get console flagged.not worth the risk imo

I would not try connecting to live without a drive connected. If MS is banning due to an incorrect answer to a challenge, it would probably do the same if it got no answer. Besides, as previously stated, why would you want to?

There was no sarcasm in my post. I told you to try it, because no one knows the answer. No one has done any testing, and the only info you will find are theory's people have. (ck3 vs xbox power)


@moonknight M$ seems to be banning due to the drive doing stealth check's that stock drives do not do. They shouldn't ban due to getting no answer, because for all M$ knows the drive went bad, or something happened with the sata.
