I own a laptop have usb converter trying to get the drive detected on windows vista what do next any help thanks

you need jungle flasher and port32 drivers just google it and get the tutorial from jungle flasher

I cant get it detected in windows i tried powering it up different ways pc first etc.. mode b is driving me nuts lol

ive never had a hit dvd drive that my pc did not see
so there is only so much i can offer

so usb converter is a waste i got it to come up in device manage but just said cd/dvd drive no info but nothing in JF

you cant use a usb to sata
it will not work

From what I have seen in Jungleflashers tutorial. You need windows xp if you are using a usb-sata converter. I've never tried it with a laptop. Good luck.

i heard you cant do it with a Hitatchi 79fl with usb

Laptop's themsel'fs have a low success rate... Ive only heard of 2 cases of people flashing with laptop's. I have never heard of a usb adaptor working.

Your best bet is to get a hold of a desktop pc, either through a friend, or your own if you have one.

Question sata card with the via 6421 chipset is there a difference if it 6421a or 6421L I have two different xbox drives just wanted to kno if they all do the same thing Im running Win 7 thanks
