using external drive to play wii games

is it possible to play wii games from external hd. i have a chip in my wii now to play backups but i would like to just play my games from an external source.

the best thing would be to take the chip out.
then do a soft mod on the wii

I would do the banner bomb attack on it
Then you can play games from a usb flash HD no more burnning games.
The mod chip is becoming a pain because they do not release updated firmware as fast as i would like
and they can be a bit involved to reflashed for some of them.

I would agree with COFREE 1000% on this, External HDD is the way he guided me on it the other day and its the Dogs Bo***x. Very easy to do and will save you money in the long run.

if you have the chip out
i would then update to the v4.2 wii firmware then
do the to mod it

not even the shop channel.
