yep.. I'll try the pot tweak on monday (i don't have my meter here it's at work)

I already tried the hdtv trick.. that didn't work!
I also tried offsetting the laser with the rubber band trick but that didn't work either

Just to let you know..
I decided not to use the pot tweak, i've done this before on playstations & it works for awhile but they always fail again in the end.

I complained to the supplier where I sourced the drive from & got a refund, I purchased another drive from a different supplier wich arrived today. I flashed it earlier this evening & Success - everything is now as it should be
