Hitachi 78 wont detect after flashing 1.51. Bricked?

Hello, I having trouble getting hitachi 78 to detect in windows or JF. I flashed 1.51 without restoring drive like a weido now the drive wont detect. The drive doesn't have the syptoms of a bricked drive, it still ejects and plays movies and games it even can be set to mode b by powering on drive with tray open. Just wont detect. Any suggestion? is it bricked? thanks

well its not bricked thats the good news. all hitch drives r a pain to get um dected. all i do is keep trying until it does.

Yea I hear you, I've tryed about everything. It detects but its seem its something currupted or is missing on the drives firmware to id the drive in window as a hitachi dvd drive. Been looking around 4 solution but I can't find a situation like mine.

Do you have a ck3? You can try getting the drive in mode b with the ck3, then opening jungle, and trying to read/write to the drive.

You can also try shutting down, plugging in the drive, powering it up, then turning on your comp. I know of limited success with that method to get it detected in JF.

I dont have a kit, I use a broken unit to power on my drive. I've tried most of the things you suggested but still nothing. I shows up on my mobo something like ATA==========> when i boot up pc.think i might try another pc or just sell the damn thing on ebay.
