error when reflashing liteon :(

originally when i flashed it there were no problems but just tried updating to 1.61 and there is a problem

using JF 0169beta

extracted the keys, all saved to a file no problem

then clicked into mtk flash and clicked on liteon erase

powered off and on, got the response 0x72 but nothing happened

so powered off and on again, this time 0x0 and "drive is in vendor mode"

now here is the real problem... whenever the ck pro is switched on, the PC hangs and I can do nothing.. if i turn the ckpro off the PC comes back

so i am really not sure what to do next? and to make things worse there is no jf.log as the PC hung and I had to reboot

have i broken it? is there a way i can fix this as it looks like jungle flasher and windows itself when the CK is on are completly unusable

I got the same thing yesterday, on the response status i clicked the erase button over and over again.
0x0
0x80
...

I used lite-on-erase a couple of times on the drive
second in jungleflasher I just took another port from my via card, and sended the erase there and then again on the port with the lite-on.
The moment after that I clicked write and it went on writing... (the drive even did not respond anymore to eject and tray was closed fully.

So don't give up ... If you have your key you should be able to fix it.

On what happens with the pc freezing... this could be a problem with drives for your via card if you are using one ...
ceck that portio32 is fully installed and via drivers uninstalled
The time it freezes is the pc seeing the drive and wanting to pick it up in the system, it can freez a little but not for like 20 minutes.

This is when it happend the first time to me.

thanks for the reply, i got it sorted another way

i already had the drive key from a previous flash, so i loaded it up with the new FW in JF

used iprep to create a floppy, copied the FM from JF onto the floppy, booted and used dosflash to erase and write the FW

tested it back in windows with JF and all was fine
