How to Unbrick a Hitatchi 59DJ?????

Well It happened to me.Using FW toolbox my flashing locked up and bricked this baby. Just need some input on a couple thing.

How can I verify my dump was good of original bin? I did get the key so I guess im ok? I can just patch it to a generic 59 dump??

Now to unbrick this beeyatch.Is the chili fix the only way?? What kinda chip programmer is available and where to get it??

And by the way I did order a VIA chipset for the desktop.This usb to sata is for the dam birds.. Thanks in advance for the input you may give.

You should be able to open your dump with firmware toolbox to check the key of your dump. If your dump is good, then you may be able to recover the drive. If you can't recover it by conventional means, then you'll have to resort to have someone pulling the flash chip and flashing it for you with a willem programmer and the proper adapter.

The chilifix is no longer being produced due to so many different versions of the hitachi. I don't know what versions it will support, but if it happens to support your version, you might be able to use it to recover it. If you can find one that is. I've never used the chilifix myself so I can't speak for that.

It all depends on if you got a good dump or not. If you didn't get a clean dump with a good key, you may have a permanent brick on your hands.

When I open the bin in FWtoolbox.
The key is there.
says its a 59DJ
256 KB but the checksum Is all 000000000000000000000.
Ya think its salvageable??I don't know any other way to check it.

if its all 000000000000 in the key that is a bad dump.
the only thing left you you to try is take the flash chip off and read it with a programmer.
the hit drive only flashes over the firmware that need to be replaced.
the hard part is going to be finding someone that will do this for you.
also there is the chance that is "game over" even taken the chip off the key maybe bad..

the keys are good. Its the checksum that is all 00000000000.

what check sum arer you talking about.

when you open it with firmware toolbox in the key it should be a lot of different letters and numbers.
if it is the the first thing i would do is try a restore.
not with toolbox but with the bat file in the firmware

Watched the video. I cannot get it to eject or even get it into mode B. I use the crosswire technique to get it init mode b(with resistor) But I think yhe dang thing is just locked up tight. Will a connectivity kit put it into mode B if yhr crosswire wont work?? I guess If anything else I can use the laser mech for my 47 hitachi
