Hi,
I have a Benq drive, that i've pulled the original firmware off using Dosflash32. I then created a custom firmware with Jungleflasher. Erased the drive with Dosflash32 and then wrote the custom back. Problem is it had 2 write errors
Drive just has a flashing green light now, and won't eject
PC just locks up in Windows if Xbox DVD connected and turned on
Tried KLUTSH iprep, which I presume is using DOSFLASH16. This just sits there saying Reading Bank 0.
I editted the batch file so that I could erase the drive and again it just sits there saying Erasing Bank 0
I tried writing to the drive and the first time it
Wrote to Bank0 and 1 ok and then just hung at Bank 2
Next write Hangs at Bank 0
Anybody got any suggestions on how to recover this drive
Many Thanks
Benq miss behaving

Re: Benq miss behaving
If you can get it into mode b just flash it with JF.
Re: Benq miss behaving
leaving the drive half ejected didn't make any difference, not sure this matters for a benq
fixed it now, issue was with my via6421 that is bought specifically for this. worked fine for read, erase and most of the write in windows but not in dos
found article about dosflash 1.7 and above supporting most SATA chipsets, tried this on my Dell machine and it worked fine.
Kids testing it now!!
