Hi All
This is my first post but have used this site for almost a year now. I have flashed over 50 Drives(all versions) from the info and Tuts on this site, so thanks to Cofree and the rest for all the help.
Last week i flashed my first drive with LT, As always i use JF to build the firmware and iPrep to flash it (Via Drivers installed). The process was smooth and painless as always but on testing, disks that loaded fine on 1.61 and previous firmware's were now not loading. I either get the open tray message or they freeze while booting up. So i re-flashed the drive, same problem.
I checked the JF log and notice that the calibration data was not present in the source firmware.
I have flashed over 30 Lite-ons and of the dumps that i checked none contain any calibration data at all.I use the CK3 pro and probe method and apparently this is not a full dump.
How important is the calibration data?
I notice from previous Team Jungle posts that they were having problems with non-verb media, was that problem solved?
Anyone else having problems with non-verb disks ?
I thought about using the stock firmware provided with LT to build the custom firmware and flash with that, do you think that will be ok ?

Re: No Calibration Data
I have flashed 3 lite on drives with LT now.
Two without calibration data - Problems loading Non-Verb media(infinity 360 discs ,Xplayer Etc both made for 360)
One with calibration data created from the stock firmware provided by Ixtreme - Plays all discs no problem.
So i think that the calibration data is useful after all. I will keep testing the theory but for me it works.
I will have the two that i flashed without the data back to reflash on monday.
I will let you know the results.
