It's a risk you take you when you flash...

If you are gonna play Live with a modded console, make sure the backups you play are not downloaded, that's the very first thing. Make sure you image passes the usual stealth tests, and I still check the Kreon SS Bug.

Many of us here play Live, but are careful what backups are played. I think that's the safest way to avoid a ban...

Wise words by Lilrevuk. I have read thousands of posts on so many different forums trying to understand the mystery of Live bans. I have learned much here at Robinhood's Playground...one of the the most important of which is that you (currently) should not be banned if you only play backups that you create from your own original games that are stealth checked properly (using CoFree's tutorial on how to check).

That being said; only flash your system if you want to backup your original games and protect your investment. I have already spent more money on games than I have on consoles...and 2 of my original games have been scratched (by standing the 360 up while a disk was inside of it)...and won't play now. An alternative to modifying your 360 is to buy protective (clear) CD stickers that protect against scratching...and also buy the rubber pads to put inside your DVD drive which will protect the discs from being scratched by the laser if your 360 gets knocked over or moved during playback.

Regards
