need to recover dead lite-on drive

Hi

After my samsung drive started giving me problems,i figured i would flash my original drive that came with the xbox 360.I hooked it up to the computer using ck3 pro(making sure that the power cable wasn't upside down & cooking the mobo.Ejected the tray a few times,while messing with jungle flasher & the now the tray won't eject & it seems like the rom isn't getting any power.I haven't erased it,I couldn't even get the comp to see it.I have gotten the tray out manually but doesn't seem to get power & jungle flasher or iprep can't see the drive.Anyone have any ideas on how to get this unit to power up.

cant think of any reason why it wont eject if you havent erased the drive try connecting to the xbox power see if it powers on. just incase your ck3 is malfunctioning

The ck3 worked on the samsung but even it started doing the same thing,the eject door stopped working,left it for a while & it was back up.Put the lite-on in a xbox 360 to try the power & has none,opened it up ,looked for scorch marks or burning smells & nothing.Jungle flasher did see it a few times but flash id,vendor id,name ,size & type weren't present when I got frustrated & hit lite-on erase as well as a intro/device but all i got were errors.

it sounds like two different problems. Are you using a via card? I've had one go bad before. But if you aren't getting power on either drive, you might try using the 360 to power the drive while flashing.

When I was messing around with jungle flasher I must of corrupted the firmware.Used coffee's tut. on dosflash,erased it reflashed it with lt & alls good.The tray opens at lightning speed ,closes about a 1/2 inch & you have to close it manually after that but who's complaining if it works.
