freezing when trying to read 934 drive
freezing when trying to read 934 drive
i am trying to flash a 934 drive , i have soldered a executer switch onto the board on the drive , i have unistaled the drivers from my raid tool using jungle flasher 1.70 , all going good until i click read i get message reading banks 0 then it freezes can anyone help please please please
Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
try installing the via driver again or enable it , and rename it from viamraid.sys till viamraid.bak, this worked for me,hope it helps
Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
it says on the jflasher instructions you have to uninstale them , on mine it didnt say viamraid.sys it just said viamraid does that make sence
Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
rename what yours says to viamraid.bak, then enable in device manager thats how i got mine to read and write drive,or wait for iprep 12 it will be more stable than jf which can be a pain at times

.sys is the file type, so it will not show that in the name, you can move the file out of your system32 folder onto your desktop if you want. That will do the same as renaming it.shaky wrote:it says on the jflasher instructions you have to uninstale them , on mine it didnt say viamraid.sys it just said viamraid does that make sence

You should disable, then move it, then enable it.
Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
cheers mate i have tried to read with the drivers back but it doesnt even try to read so i will move them again and take it from there could there be anything else that causes it to stop reading after reading banks 0 could it be one of the conections on the executer switch not soldered correctly or notHaGGardSmurf wrote:You should disable, then move it, then enable it.

Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
Not quite sure, Ive yet to get my hands on a 9 series drive. Most times if its a driver issue it'll freeze during the erase.
You may want to use iprep 12 if you have it. As far as I know it does support 9 series.

Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
dont mean to sound stupid , but havent i got to extract the key with jflasher first before i can flash it with iprep also in iprep you type l74 for a 74 drive and l83 for an 838 drive what do you type for a 934 drive there isnt that option in iprep only ben , sam , l74 or l83
if i am using the executer switch i have to use jflash the get key first but it freezes when i try to read

after I press read (Vampires not touching anything, but Xtractor still on), JF stops at "Reading Bank 0"

Re: freezing when trying to read 934 drive
Make sure the light on the switch is green when reading.
You should power it on in normal mode, then click intro, dont click yes yet, then turn off your ck3, flip the switch then hit yes, then power it on, then flip the switch back over so its now green then hit read.
That should fix your read errors, from then on you flash it like a normal lite-on (leave the switch on normal, ie: green light)

open jflasher 1.72
power off ck3
put switch to RW
click drive intro
switch on ck3 when you see dots going across
put switch back on green as soon as you get good reading
save data click yes to auto load
click liteon erase
click yes to warning
click yes again / power off/on ck3 fast
click wrire and your done
