Really Need Some Help with 83850v2

Post by Rogar »

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone would be so kind to give me some assistance.

I have a liteon 83820 v2 and have installed the LT switch so I could flash it.

I soldered it all up and cut the traces, connected it to my PC (via connectivity kit pro & Via 6421).

When I tried to get the liteon in Vendor mode I would turn it off and on like it says in Jungle flasher tut, but all I ever got was 0x51 or 0x52 status (in the Flash Chip Properties).

OK fine I thought, I'll desolder it all, recut the traces and solder it all back together again (to double check I've done it all properly!).

However, NOW when I try to place my drive in vendor mode I get status 0x80. And also sometimes my Drive Properies doesn't recognise my drive any more... I have to eject the drive and close it for it to be recognised again!

Does anyone have any useful suggestions, I've been trying to make this work for 6 hours now lol, searching on the net so your help will be most greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!
Rogar.

P.S Is there a way I can save any key information or anything like that so if I do break my drive I can just replace it without buying a whole new 360?

Thanks again.

You just have to keep trying it takes some time do get it but if you keep trying it will work. Just make sure when you send intro
power cycle the switch. I have had to do this with several liteons for my customers.
