Buying new 360 Q?
I am getting ready to buy a new 360 and was wondering if there was anyway to look at the box or serial number and tell what kind of drive I will be getting so I know for Flashing purposes?

you would have to find one pre november 2009 to not have a 9000 series ....pre june 2009 to guarantee a non 8000 version 2....pickings might be slim depending where you live

Find a less busy department store Kmart an My area rarley sells anything.

Does the drive make a difference? Yes. If you get a 8 series v2 lite-on or a 9 series you will need to spend some extra cash on either a probe v2 or a LT switch.jgplayer21 wrote:Sorry but I also meant to ask if it makes a difference?
