Re: green light flashing
You wrap your box up in three towels tightly and turn your unit on for about 25 minutes. It will overheat and have two red lights. Let it cool down for about twenty minutes. It basically resets the system. Try it. it may or may not work.

Nah do the blanket trick its better. Wrap it in a nice warm blanket. JK!
Re: green light flashing
Not sure, but I don't think this would be a good idea.
Can you eject the drive?

Re: green light flashing
ok that makes it a little more clear. It sounds like a hardware isue with the drive. Only thing I can tell you there is to take it apart and poke around inside. You might have a slipped gear or something. If it isn't a simple fix then I would get the key off that drive and try replacing it. That is of course if the drive is the problem. You could try unplugging the power from the drive and then try booting it up to see if it boots. Just throwing suggestions out there> it could be any number of things

Re: green light flashing
Disconnect the drive from the motherboard or from the back of the drive and then try to boot the xbox. If it boots its a problem with the drive itself.

Are your av cables hooked up? If you've bricked the drive, it usually wont boot, then an error will show on the screen.
Like sadalius said, try unplugging the drive, it SHOULD boot, if not there is a problem with the box itself.

Re: green light flashing
Well the green light will flash if it thinks the tray is open.
If there is no drive in the box, the green light will continue to flash. Seems to me there is something wrong with your drive, possibly a partial flash or something, spoof in another drive and your problem should go away.
